The Air Training Corps motto “Venture Adventure” puts adventurous training at the very centre of the Corps activities and training. Number 3 Welsh Wing stands as an example to all other Wings with its policies, opportunities and staff training requirements.
It has long been the policy of Number 3 Welsh Wing and the Air Training Corps to only allow well trained and nationally qualified staff to lead our cadets on the hills, waters and mountains of Great Britain. To this effect the Wing Adventure Training Technical Panel works hard to ensure that all senior cadets and members of staff are given the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications, continuous training and the opportunities of further development. Using this training they can pass on the required skills and knowledge to our cadets.
Adventure training activities, like all other Air Training Corps activities, are not compulsory but there are plenty of choices available including hill walking, abseiling, kayaking, rock climbing and mountain biking.
