Gliding at 636 Volunteer Gliding School Swansea

All Cadets are given the opportunity to fly in gliders during their time as a active member of the Air Training Corps.

Our Nearest Gliding School is based at Swansea Airport. 636VGS Swansea where we fly the Vigilant Motor Glider.

Vigilant Motor Glider

The Vigilant is a two seat training glider with a small motor to get it airborne.

The Gliding Scholarship

The Scholarships are available to some Cadets, chosen at Squadron level. It gives Cadets the chance to fly Solo after about 8/9 hours of training
