A selection of Cadets from across the Wing have recently started a pilot programme of on-line learning for the ILM L2 Certificate in Team Leading.  The course started with workshops held at 1998 Sqn HQ in West Cross covering the subjects normally undertaken for the Award in Team Leading.  Those that wish to can now go on to study for the full Certificate through an on-line learning package.

The Wing Training Officer, Sqn Ldr Aeron Kirczey said;

“Over 40 Cadets from across 3 Welsh Wing have now completed the ILM  L2 Team Leading course and some very positive feedback has been received from those that have completed it.  The qualification has helped some secure jobs as team leaders on first employment, so this course can really give Cadets the edge when they look for jobs, it complements the training that Cadets receive throughout their membership of the organisation and gives them an excellent head start in the jobs market.”

The ILM Team Leading  courses are run about 3 times a year for any cadet who is 16 yrs old and over and the last two courses have been offered free of charge for one Cadet from every Squadron in the Wing.
