As a squadron we like to offer a wide range of projects to keep the cadets interested and we are always open to new ideas.

We are fundraising at present to update our IT equipment and it’s not going to be long before we can work and update the website in squadron on parade nights.

Aircraft Modeling and Recognition

The Majority of Cadets on Squadron enjoy aircraft and aviation.

Aircraft Recognition

Aircraft Recognition is one of our most successful activities. Last year our team won the Wing competition. The aim of aircraft recognition is to identify aircraft from a huge range of military and civilian aircraft and helicopters. During competitions, slides of the aircraft are shown for 10 seconds at a time and the participants must write down the aircraft manufacturer, model and even type. In addition the team learn more about aircraft, visit airshows and airfields

Aircraft Modeling

Each cadet involved works on a model kit, which normally take a couple of months to complete. Some cadets are in the early stages of learning how to put together and paint a model, while the more advanced are working to complete entries for the Wing competition.
