The air cadets, aged 18-20, represent the best of their generation in the ATC today.

At total of 11 of the 12 finalists for the prestigious Dacre Sword and Dacre Brooch Competition travelled from across the UK to meet Commandant Air Cadets, Air Commodore Gordon Moulds.

Air Commodore Moulds said: “To be the Regional Dacre nomination is an outstanding achievement and one that every cadet should aspire to. The opportunity to speak to the top cadets from across the ATC was excellent and their contribution has helped me to refine policies and projects that I wish to take forward in the near future - they certainly gave plenty to think about!”
